The ministry began in the 1970s as theC.S. Lewis Society at Princeton University. Dr. Tom Woodward continued the mission,bringing the ministry to Trinity College of Florida. In recent years and under the
dedicated leadership of President Mike Sherrard and Executive Director Dave Engelhardt, the ministry was renamed Apologetics, Inc. We have grown into an international ministry reaching and equipping through live events, media, discipleship resources, and training for new generations.
In 2026, best-selling authors and teachers Lee Strobel (The Case for Christ) and Mark Mittelberg (Contagious Faith and Confident Faith) joined the ministry. Lee and Mark bring decades of influence, credibility, and the vision to exponentially increase the impact of Apologetics, Inc.
