Illuminate the Bay is a strategic outreach initiative designed to fuel this movement by working within existing ministry networks to ensure long-term impact. Instead of a one-time conference, we partner with churches, schools, and campus ministries to host multiple events in their own communities, strengthening ongoing evangelism and discipleship efforts.

What is Illuminate the Bay?
Illuminate the Bay is a strategic outreach event that prioritizes existing ministry networks to reach people in established ministry contexts, giving greater hope that discipleship will continue after the event is over. This strategy hopes to mitigate the inherent weakness of itinerate speaking: the follow up. What happens when the conference is over? What happens to seeds that were planted? What good is it to have 1,000 people at a conference just to return to “normal life” on Monday and have no vision or support for what’s next?
So instead of utilizing our speaking team to host a one-day conference and spend resources marketing and promoting it with the hope of having many people come, our strategy is to spread out in an area and partner with churches, schools, and campus ministries to do events in their context, on their turf, to pour gas onto their fire, to reach people in a context where evangelism and discipleship are already being pursued. What could happen in a city churches, schools, and campus ministries came together in one week to reach the lost and encourage the believers through twenty events city wide?
Why Illuminate the Bay?
For years, the prevailing narrative has been that faith is outdated and unnecessary. But now, we are seeing that secularism is running out of gas. People are realizing that a naturalistic worldview is too small; it isn’t big enough to satisfy the deepest longings of their hearts. They are sensing a call to something greater—something transcendent, something meaningful. We, as followers of Christ, know what they are searching for. They are being drawn to the One who created them, who loves them, and who offers them abundant life.
This moment is an opportunity unlike any other, but it also presents a great challenge. If the church does not rise to meet this cultural shift, seekers will find their answers elsewhere. The world is full of competing voices, offering counterfeit solutions to spiritual hunger. New Age spirituality, self-help philosophies, neo-paganism, and even the remnants of secular humanism are all vying for their attention. The question before us is this: will we, the church, be ready to guide these seekers to the truth found in Jesus Christ?
